Max A, Minnig Jr. (Of Counsel) was admitted to the bar in Colorado in 1987. He received his B.A. from the University of Denver in 1982, and his J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University in 1987. He clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice for two years before returning to Colorado as an associate with Davis, Graham & Stubbs and then for an extended period with Carpenter & Klatskin. After working at his own firm and as a solo practitioner, he returned to Carpenter & Klatskin in an of counsel position in 2014.
Max has always practiced in the area of dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration and civil litigation, specializing in all real estate related areas, including title, access, possession, land use, contract and business disputes, landlord/tenant, collection and all related matters. He has been an expert witness in issues of standard of care, road and access, and attorney fees.
He co-authored “The Deposition Primer”, a publication of the Colorado Bar Association. He was the recipient of the 1989 Colorado Bar Association’s 1989 Hoagland Award for outstanding public service
